Aloe Up, Adding Value In Your Sporting Community Through Sponsorship.

Dan Abel Swimming with Aloe Up

While we can all agree that Aloe up is the best Biodegradable & Reef Friendly sunscreen on the market, it’s also one of the best sunscreen brands at looking after adventure sports at a grass roots level.

Over the last few years we have been working hard to spread our brand message & values by supporting local sporting events & athletes. These events are not large scale glamour events full of sporting super stars but inclusive events that focus on participation as much as results. And the athletes they help out through sponsorship are not on multi-million dollar contracts, most of them have day jobs & take part in their chosen sport because it’s their passion.

Below is a selection of events & athletes that benefit from Aloe Up support.

Challenge Wanaka:

Challenge Wanaka is without a doubt the prettiest triathlon in the world. With multiple events running throughout the week, Challenge Wanaka creates a festival vibe, bringing the entire community together to enjoy the outdoors. Whether you are a multisport world title contender or just having a go for the first time, Challenge Wanaka has a category for everyone, even for kids.

Aloe Up Pro Sport SPF30 is provided for all 2000 athletes at every aid station throughout the course.

Real Swim Race Series:

The Real Swim Race Series is an offshoot from Real Swim Adventures, a company created by Open Swimming legend Dan Abel. Real Swim Adventures believe that Swimming isn’t just about beating the person next to you but about personal challenges. The Real Swim Race Series is designed not to breed champions but to get adults active, give them confidence in open water & improve their overall fitness & water safety knowledge.

Vaka Eiva:

Every Year Vaka Eiva is one of the sporting highlights for the Cook Islands, bringing competitors & canoeing enthusiasts from around the world to the tiny island paradise. Because traditional canoe paddling is somewhat of a fringe sport, Vaka Eiva is just as much about bringing the international paddling community together as it is about trophies & champions. They even have a ‘Lost Paddlers Club’ for the event, where they match individual paddlers with teams that are missing one or two crew members.

All 400 paddlers will receive a tube of Pro Sport 30 and large pumps will be available for the participates.

We will be there taking photos and will post these on Facebook and Instagram as the events unfold.

These days Dan spends his time teaching adults how to swim and introducing them to the addictive fun that is open water swimming.

Serena Hunter:

He has competed at the highest level all over the planet including the world famous Hawaiian Ironman, picking up some great results along the way including winning Challenge Wanaka three times in a row. Maz Quinn:

Maz Quinn is the latest Aloe Up sponsored athlete & one of the most well-known New Zealand surfers. Maz has won four New Zealand surfing titles & is one of only a handful of Kiwi surfers to reach the WSL World Tour where he competed against the likes of Kelly Slater, Andy Irons & Mick Fanning. You will most likely find Maz ripping up at his local beach in Wainui.

In addition to providing these athletes with products that help them perform at their peak, we also donate 10% of all sales from our website to our athletes to help cover the costs that are involved when competing at the highest level.

All Aloe Up products have a 30%  minimum base of organically grown Aloe Vera. The SPF 50 and SPF 30 lotions are certified biodegradable and are kind on your skin and the environment.  Aloe Up lipbalms are made from 100% natural oils and are fantastic.
